Statista presents the Onlineshop Study 2018 – the study is published for the fifth consecutive year

For the fifth time, Statista, in cooperation with COMPUTER BILD, has identified Germany’s top 750 online shops in one of the most comprehensive survey done on this topic in Germany. For this purpose, the initial list of online shops of the analysis consisted of more than 7,500 online shops and more than 5,750 online shops were eventually examined in detail.

This year’s study includes information on 1,322 shops from this year’s sample as well as a three-year comparison of the overall results. At an aggregated level, the success factors and the most important levers for increasing the purchase probability are presented. 11 segments, from “accessories” to “universal providers”, are examined.

The detailed investigation of the online shops was based on 119 test criteria in 6 fields of analysis:
